River Eugene Smith passed away February 16, 2021 at UPMC Memorial Hospital.  River was the infant son of Michael Eugene Smith and Kristen Renee Dunker.

     In addition to his parents, River leaves to cherish his memory 

three sisters, Ivy Witmer, Willow Saul, and Raven Watts; two brothers, Zackary Dunker and Tyler Dunker; grandmother, Karen Johnson and partner Gene Huey; grandfather, Edwin Smith, Sr.and partner Teresa Miller; great grandmother, Phyllis Bailey Akers; uncle, Edwin Smith, Jr.; uncle, Anthony Smith and wife, Laura; aunts, Amanda Miller and Trista Jones;

cousins, Castiel and Dean Smith, Icealyne, Noah Travius and Wyatt Meckley; second cousins, Sheila Jane and Rebecca Akers and Terry and Cody Gromling;

great aunt, Belinda Akers; adopted grandmother, Tonya Kope;

     River was preceded in death by two siblings, Rowan and Teagan; grandmother, Dawn Akers; great grandfather, Russell Bechtel; great grandmother, Shirley Smith and great great grandmother, Dorothy Gensemer.

     A visitation will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 from 5-6 p.m. at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc.  The service will begin at 6 p.m.
