Mary A. Landis, 97, passed peacefully Thursday, August 8, 2024. She was the wife of the late Spurgeon E. Landis. Born on July 24, 1927 In York County, she was the daughter of the late Curvin R. and Mabel E. (McLane) Stermer. Mary was an avid collector and enjoyed gardening. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory a son, Larry Landis and wife Kelly; a daughter, Nancy Harshbarger and husband, Robert; granddaughter, Brandy Frey; great grandson Cole Harshbarger; siblings, Alice Mansberger, Dorthy Shank, Janet Livingston and Gerald Stermer. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Harshbarger and siblings, Malcolm Stermer, David Stermer, Betty Hughes, Virginia Stermer, Grace Marks and Robert Stermer.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market Street York, Pa 17403. The service will begin at 11 a.m. with Reverend Bonnie Whittier officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Zion Cemetery.
