Judith Ann Berger (Ely), 77, of Manchester, PA entered into eternal rest after a courageous battle with lung cancer on March 23, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Clair Edward Ely and Florence Elizabeth Ely. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Calvin Berger; her daughter, Michelle Marie Berger; and her brother, Brad Ely.
Judith retired from Sophia’s On Market at 62 years old. She also worked at Kitchenworks Catering, Candle Works, Brothers Dining, Hess’s Restaurant, United Piece and Dye.
Judy is survived by 5 children, Arthur Lewis Berger and wife Julie Berger, Samuel Edward Berger and girlfriend Melody Sarver, Carol Lyn Berger-Seidita and husband Peter Seidita, Carl Eugene Berger and wife Pamela Berger, Donald Charles Berger and wife Heidi Berger. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; 6 sisters, Deb Ely, Wanda Ely, Robin Fetrow, Kyna Ely, Yvette McCarty, and Christine Ely; 1 brother, Clair Edward Ely(Butch); along with many nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces.
Judy loved to cook, color, and listen to country and gospel music. She was born in York Haven and later moved to Cly as a young girl. She attended NorthEastern Highschool until 11th grade when she had the blessing of having her first child.
Judy was a Christian, whose faith was strong and instilled in her by her parents Clair and Florence AKA Dob.
Judith Ann Berger was an active member of Ambassador Bible Church. She was also an advocate for Mads Enterprise which is an organization that helps empower young people by providing financial support and matching them to programs that ensure their success. Judy was a part of Victims Advocates due to the loss of her youngest daughter, Michelle Marie Berger.
Judy was loved by all and she loved everyone. There’ll never be anyone like her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any of the following foundations; Cancer Research Society Gentiva Hospice, and Victim Advocates in Judith Ann Berger’s name.
Service dates will be released via Facebook come spring time when it's warmer. This was also Judith’s favorite time of year. The service date and time is to be determined, but it will be held at Ambassador Bible Chapel, 3000 York Haven Rd, Manchester, PA 17345
