Jay D. Smeltzer, 61, passed away January 29, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Beth A. Smeltzer. Born in York, PA on December 18, 1963, he was the son of the late Robert G. and Brenda S. Smeltzer.
Jay loved spending his free time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed helping with the family business and taking his Mustang out on the weekends. He always made time to attend church and was sincere in his faith of Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed by his family.
Jay leaves to cherish his memory, in addition to his wife, Beth, children, Lauren Hughes (Nathan), Jonathan Smeltzer, Lynette Myers (Tyler) and Nathan Smeltzer (Allison); grandchildren, Brynlea Champlin, Caden Hughes, Addison Smeltzer, Waylon Smeltzer, Hunter Isaacs and Kensi Myers. He was preceded in death by sister, Randi Smeltzer.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Red Lion Bible Church, 105 Springvale Rd, Red Lion, PA 17356. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Steven Schmuck officiating. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
