Angel Luis Oquendo, 74, of York passed away August 15, 2020.  Born on August 12, 1946 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Angel was the son of the late Aniceto Oquendo and Antonia Matias.  

     Angel was a long time resident of Chicago, spending 55 years there before moving to York.  He enjoyed poker, bowling, shooting pool, playing games on his tablet and spending time with his family.

     Angel leaves to cherish his memory, two daughter, Marisol Oquendo and Maribel Oquendo; one sister, Ada Reyes;  three brothers, Danilo Oquendo, Miguel Oquendo and Wilberto Oquendo; four grandchildren, Carlos Casiano, Angelica Casiano, Juan Barajas and Lee Mary Barajas; and six great grandchildren.

     A viewing will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.  at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market Street, York.  The service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Eutemia Soto officiating.  Burial will immediately follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
